Beautiful Luxury and extremely capable SUV. Love it so much we purchased a new one! This SUV we mostly used traveling for bicycle training and racing over the last four years in the USA. This is the sports enthusiast perfect SUV! It is a Canadian car but spent most of its mileage life in the USA. It has been meticulously maintained only by Lexus and is in great condition inside and out - needing absolutely nothing. These SUVs often see lifespans exceeding 750k kms. This SUV sits between the 4Runner and the Landcruiser for off road capability and exceeds both in luxury. I've simply cut and pasted a new car review below. Combining ruggedness and luxury, the 2011 Lexus GX460 midsize SUV lets you take Lexus’ luxury with you wherever your heart desires. The GX460 rides on a truck-based platform and can tow up to 6,500 pounds – a crossover this is not. It rides on standard 18-inch wheels which fill out the muscular fenders, and the sides of the GX460 go almost straight up, which gives the SUV a taller look and feel. Exterior options include high-intensity discharge headlamps, a tow hitch, and intelligent high-beams. Under the hood, the 2011 GX460 gets a 301-horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 that puts out 329 pounds-feet of torque. There is only one transmission option as well, a six-speed automatic. For off-road prowess, all GX460s come equipped with a low-geared, full-time four-wheel drive system. Fuel economy is competitive, at 15 mpg USG in the city and 20 mpg USG on the highway. The 2011 GX460 competes against other midsize luxury SUVs like the Land Rover LR4 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Inside, you get another one of Lexus’ renowned interiors, with their great soundproofing and liberal use of high-quality, soft materials. The GX460 comes with standard seating for seven across three rows, in a very flexible interior space. The second row can slide forward or back for more legroom, and the third row seat is powered and can fold completely into the floor when more cargo space is needed. Each 2011 GX460 comes well equipped with standard features like leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, moonroof, Bluetooth® connectivity, a USB port for an iPod or MP3 device, and automatic dual-zone climate control. Also standard is a 4.2-inch LCD display which allows you to access multiple vehicle controls and also shows the picture from the standard rear view camera. Available as options are a dual-screen rear entertainment system, voice activated hard drive based navigation system, and a premium Mark Levinson sound system. The 2011 GX460 is also packed with safety features. Standard are antilock brakes, 10 airbags, active front headrests, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and an electronic stability system with traction control. Optional safety technology includes a pre-collision system which detects imminent collisions and tightens the seatbelts and readies the brakes, an adaptive front lighting system which swivels the front headlights as you turn to increase visibility around corners, and a front and side monitoring system which aids in visibility while driving at low speeds and parking.
