Description

Hidden gem located on Snake Island on Caribou Lake. Snake island is a small island with 8 cottage properties on it. It’s very private and neighbors are amazing (most are only used sparingly through the summer). The lot is 7500 square feet (100 on the water and 75 feet deep). Caribou lake is spring fed so wonderful for swimming and fishing. It’s also a fairly large and deep lake so can handle motor sports. Only a small portion of the lake has cottages though so water traffic is minimal making it an extremely peaceful environment. The property has a very small yet functional cottage on it (300 sq. Ft). It’s a bit old and a bit new. We completely re-wired (+panel) and re-plumbed it last year, adding a new shower (water is lake fed). We also added an on demand hot water tank so you can enjoy hot showers after a brisk spring or fall swim. The bedroom has a double bunk (brand new) and the main living space has a pull out couch. Enjoy a crackling fire in the evenings to keep you warm or pump the air conditioning in the summer to keep you cool! Or, sit on the large covered deck and enjoy the views come rain or shine! There is plenty of space on the lot to add a second, larger cottage or home for those interested in further investing...or just enjoy this place as an amazing summer escape. You can also enjoy the scenic towns of Mahone Bay (15 mins) or Lunenburg (20 mins). Larger centres are close also with Bridgewater 30 mins away and Halifax (1.5 hrs) from this excellent location. Serious inquiries only please.
