Vehicle description 1996 Dodge Ram Indy 500 Special Edition, this is a combination of the Laramie SLT and Sport package. A total of 2800 of these were built in 1996 for the Indy 500. This truck is still fairly stock from when it was delivered new in 1996. Truck has now 121,000 KMS and still Engine is the high horsepower 5.9 Magnum 245HP, automatic transmission. Interior is very nice. This truck has virtually no rust. Paint has begun to fall off the hood (see picture), which seems to be common among Dodge trucks in the era. Truck was delivered to the original new owner without the Indy 500 lettering on the door. Everything works, including the AC. We were going to restore the truck , but have to many projects. It is a great candidate to restore because of the lack of rust and it has not been modified since new and never crashed. This for us is a driving restoration project.
