Description

A Nature wonderland with brooks, trees, flora and fauna. It is very secluded and has a mile and a half of riverfront on the Taxis River which flows into the Miramichi River. The eco-systems have been maintained and it is naturally landscaped. Native wildflowers, fiddleheads, fruit-bearing bushes and colorful mushrooms can be seen in season. There are brooks, backwater wetlands, beaver ponds, vernal pools, shoreline thickets, all teeming with wildlife. There is also a blue fine-grained sandstone/feldspar deposit. The soil in one area where the cattle grazed in years gone by is very black and rich in nutrients. There are multiple species of trees and some old growth ones. The property has high ecological value.
