Description

Selling my 2015 Smart ForTwo Coupe with 118,500 kms. Made by Mercedes-Benz, the Smart ForTwo is a fun, unique little (just under 9 long) car that feels bigger due to the large amount of space in the front seats. I could never get the drivers seat to go back far enough in the small and mid-size Lincoln SUVs but I can in this car! The car comes equipped with heated leather seats, power windows, power locks, power steering (which is rare on Smart cars), air conditioning (needs a recharge), an alarm, 2 cup holders and a JVC radio and CD player that includes Bluetooth, AUX input and USB input. There is also a surprising amount of space in the rear of the car. All 4 snow tires on rims fit in the back. The original owners manual and maintenance schedule booklet are also included. The engine is a 1 litre, 3 cylinder that gets excellent gas mileage (4.7 litres per 100 kms) and the max. speed is 145 km/h. The engine is in the rear of the car and it is a rear wheel drive. You fill the windshield wiper fluid, coolant and brake fluid under the hood. The oil dipstick and filler tube can be found by lifting the back panel in the trunk as this is where the engine is located. The fluid changes and maintenance are up to date and it doesnt need an oil change for another 3,000 kms. The transmission is a 5 speed automatic but you can also change the gears manually. It comes with Yokohama all season tires that are presently on the car and a set of Continental winter tires on rims. There is a lot of tread on all of the tires. New brakes were also recently installed all around (less than 100 kms ago). The car is made of a Tridion steel cage shell and the body panels bolt onto it. Some of the panels have minor scratches but overall the vehicle is in good shape. In crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the 2015 ForTwo earned the top rating of "Good" in moderate-overlap frontal-offset, side impact and roof strength tests. Its seat/head restraint design was rated "Acceptable" (second best out of the four ratings) for whiplash protection in rear impacts. There are many YouTube videos on Smart cars should you wish to learn more about them. If you are looking for a fun little two seater that gets excellent gas mileage this may be the one for you. It has lots of life left in it (some Smart cars get over 300,000 kms on them). The carfax notes there are no liens on the vehicle and it has never been in an accident. Selling for $8,000 firm. I will not reduce the price as this is already below market value. I will entertain trades for an older (60s to 90s) full size vehicle that comes with a valid Ontario safety certificate. I am in no rush to sell and I will not entertain lowball offers or scammers requesting the car be shipped or a bunch of reports be ordered. I will only discuss the sale details in person. The Smart was safetied on April 5, 2023 and the certificate is valid for 36 days from this date. ServiceOntario already has their copy of the safety and I have the customer copy. Please message me if you have any questions or wish to see the vehicle. It is plated, insured and driven daily. We are located in the Bayshore area of Nepean.
