Selling my 1997 Ram 1500 Laramie 2WD. Been in the family since new but I bought a newer truck so I just don’t need it anymore. 5.9L (360) Magnum V8 (burns a little oil when cold but not enough to fill in between oil change intervals. Runs on 10W30 Mobil1 Full Synthetic). Very strong and torquey. 4 Speed Automatic (Rebuilt at 150k, stronger gears + heavy duty transmission cooler) Rear Wheel Drive with original Limited Slip Differential Infinity Sound System (sounds amazing) Bluetooth AM/FM Radio Radiator re-cored, water pump and thermostat replaced at 260k. Was running hot so these components were replaced and it helped a lot. Trailer hitch and brake controller wiring included (does not include controller). I’ve towed boats and garbage trailers with this truck and it has no issues handling those kinds of loads. Tires are 8 ply hankook mud and snow. I’d say roughly 40-50% tread left. Windshield replaced under insurance. No cracks or chips. Power windows, locks, and mirrors. Comes with two sets of keys, one has keyless entry remote. Known Issues: Power steering leaks a bit. The gear has been replaced but it still leaks a bit. Doesn’t leak under load, only when the vehicle has been parked after being driven awhile. Check Engine Light is on. P0441 code. Mechanic has tried fixes but it still comes on. Does not affect driveability. Clear coat is peeling. It only started doing this last year but it seems to be getting worse as the sun is out. Some mild body rust from paint chips and dents over the years but the frame is in perfect shape. A/C does not work. Compressor is seized. It would make a perfect farm truck or a cheap truck for someone to use on occasion but doesn’t want to spend a lot of money. Considering its age, it still drives great with lots of pickup and a smooth ride. I’m sad to see it go but I just don’t need it anymore.
