Description

320 acres in three parcels (160, 80 and 80 acres). About half an hour east of Sault Ste Marie. Approximately 150 acres cleared, 70 acres systematically tile drained. Cleared land is part of the Bar River flats, very productive silt loam soil. I have grown soybeans, canola, wheat, barley and buckwheat on the drained land. Hay is grown on the other cleared acres. Power on site. Modern 10,000 bushel grain bin with aeration fan, canola floor and bin sweep. The rest of the farm is natural forest with the usual assortment of wildlife. Scenic outlook from the top of the property with a view of the Bar River valley, Lake George, and beyond. Drained land is rented for this season. Hay is being taken off by a local farmer. Currently there are problems with some of the drainage tiles, probably plugged with roots.
