Designed for drivers who want more than just utility, the XSE trim stands out with aggressive exterior accents, a confident stance, and a driving experience that feels more refined and responsive than youd expect from a family-focused SUV.

Under the hood, the Highlander XSE is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, producing 265 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission, this setup offers strong acceleration while maintaining impressive fuel efficiency for its class. The AWD system provides added confidence in all weather conditions, making it perfectly suited for Canadian winters, road trips, and everything in between. The XSE-tuned sport suspension enhances handling and stability, giving the vehicle a more connected, athletic feel on the road without sacrificing ride comfort.

On the exterior, the XSE trim brings a distinct, performance-inspired design. Youll notice the unique front grille, blacked-out accents, and body-colored trim that set it apart from other Highlander models. The 20-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust tips complete the sporty look, while LED headlights and taillights ensure excellent visibility and a modern presence day or night.

Step inside, and the Highlander XSE offers a refined, driver-focused cabin with premium materials and thoughtful design throughout. The interior features SofTex-trimmed seats with fabric inserts, offering both durability and comfort. Heated front seats, a power-adjustable drivers seat, and a heated steering wheel make cold mornings much more manageable. With seating for up to seven passengers, this SUV is ideal for families, offering generous legroom across all three rows and easy access to the rear.

Technology is a strong point in the 2023 Highlander XSE. The large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system provides seamless access to navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration come standard, along with Bluetooth connectivity and multiple USB ports throughout the cabin. A premium audio system delivers crisp, immersive sound, while the digital gauge cluster keeps key driving information clearly in view.

Safety is front and center, as expected, with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 included. This suite features adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection. Combined with a reinforced body structure and advanced airbag system, the Highlander XSE is built to keep you and your passengers protected on every journey.

In terms of practicality, the Highlander continues to impress. The rear seats fold down easily to expand cargo space, making it simple to handle groceries, luggage, sports gear, or larger items. The power liftgate adds convenience, especially when your hands are full.
