Hello, I am selling my 1997 Porsche Boxster. It has the 2.5L Flat Six engine with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission. This is the first production year of the Boxster (986). The car is in excellent shape for the age of the vehicle with no dents or damage. There is a few minor paint chips from normal wear and tear. . I have owned the car since 2017 and 160,000kms. My reason for selling is because I am a father now and am not able to use the car as much. My wife and I took this car down to California and Las Vegas several times and it never left us stranded. Car has always been garage stored, never winter driven, always fresh oil change before Summer use. This car has had a lot of upgrades and maintenance done over the years. Some noteworthy items include: - New convertible top - with Glass window. Much nicer than the plastic window of the 1997-2000 vintage. - Clutch, Release Fork, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder replaced in Summer 2025. - IMS bearing replacement was completed along with new rear main seal at the same time as the clutch. - Newer coolant reservoir, dipstick tube, spark plugs, ignition coils, tube seals, water pump, serpentine belt (all done in 2018). A/C works well. Transmission oil, brake fluid, coolant, Engine air filter all replaced in 2024. - Passenger side door window regulator replaced in 2018. -Upgraded Sound System 2018 - Dash and Door speakers replaced. New Head Unit with Bluetooth. 6 in Pioneer subwoofer and built in Amp. - Tires are in excellent shape - Michelin Pilot sport AS3+ ~ 3000kms since replacement. - Fresh battery and oil service this May for the season. -Newer aftermarket Muffler as Baffles came loose in the factory one. Car sounds much better too. -Upgraded LED Projector Headlights with Amber marker light delete. - 0 Check Engine Lights on. Known issues: - Small Engine oil leak from Cam seals - The convertible top is now semi-automatic (all of the 1997-2000 model years needed assistance anyways) You now need to get out of the car to line up the cable around the window. Takes 30 seconds to do. My wife is able to raise and lower the top no problem. This car is ready to be enjoyed for many more years. Car is Active status and Alberta registered. Also this car qualifies for a Classic car insurance - so you get an extra cheap rate. This is a great car for cruising with the top down.
