Did you ever dream of leaving the city and buying a farm. Neither did I, but it was the best thing I ever did. Sure I’m 20 minutes from a Timmies and McDonalds so I had to learn to make a decent cup of coffee. I’ve learned how to fix machinery that I didn’t know existed 20 years ago, and You Tube “ how to” videos are amazing. My family and I moved from BC almost 20 years ago and bought an old hobby farm. We are 28km west of Saskatoon and the small town of Asquith is 4kms away. I have all girls which meant I had to buy everyone a horse and a cow, and a chicken and a pig and a …… you get the point. Raising kids on an acreage is never boring. There’s always a lesson to be learned and most of the best memories I’ll ever have.
