Description

Splice your life with the Murray Harbour community, with its vibrant and enthusiastic vibe. An active fishing village, this is a perfect place to retire, in fact has been voted the best place in Canada for retirees. There are rook games at the community center, and euchre nearby, or trivia nights overlooking the harbour. For those that prefer to participate in a more active exercise program there is daily pickle ball. A lacrosse rink and an exercise park will round out the fun. It's also a fabulous place for families with kids, with a wide age group of children. The library and the community center put on many kid centered activities and the swings and play area is right around the corner. The bus stops right at the door of this sturdy brick house, with a large (one third of an acre) yard, with many interesting and colourful plants. Gardeners rejoice! A good sized vegetable garden is already in place, with a composting area and lush raspberry canes for toppings on your morning cereal. The property backs up to borrowed scenery of a buffer zone with many trees, filled with bird song and activity. The outdoors also boasts a large covered porch with wheelchair ramps for anyone in need of an easier access, or just to wheel up the wood for the stove. Two heat pumps fill your heating and cooling needs, and for those extra chilly days, a wood stove in the basement picks up the slack. If you're ready for life in a tiny village bursting with energy, this might be for you. Bring your dog, the dog park is a stones throw away.
