Description

1998 Toyota Corolla – 5-Speed Manual – 197,500 km Selling our trusty little Toyota Corolla! These cars have a reputation for running forever when properly maintained, and this one still has plenty of life left in her! The Good: * Only 197,500 km * 5-speed manual transmission * New clutch installed at 150,000 km * New battery * New starter * New all-season tires * Regular oil changes * A/C works great! * No check engine lights * Runs, drives and shifts great! * Very minimal rust * Excellent on fuel Mechanically, this little car runs fantastic! I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. It’s been a dependable little car. The Not-So-Good: She’s definitely not winning any beauty contests, but here’s the full disclosure: * Burns some oil on longer highway trips. I can drive it locally for weeks without noticing any oil consumption, but on a longer trip to Calgary, it will use some oil. * Crack in the windshield * Rear doors don’t open from the inside * Interior roof fabric/headliner has been removed * Sun damage to the paint on the top of the car * No cruise control Overall: She’s an older car with some cosmetic imperfections, but mechanically she runs great! If you’re looking for inexpensive, reliable, fuel-efficient transportation and aren’t concerned about appearances, she’s worth a look. I’m being upfront about her imperfections so there are no surprises. She’s not pretty, but she’s a Toyota!
